Today\u2019s business environment is under pressure to undergo rapid digital transformation. According to a recent survey<\/a> by the Institute for Public Affairs (IVO) from April 2026, AI tools are already used in Slovakia by <\/span>78% of the population<\/b>, representing an almost fourfold increase over the past two years.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although most Slovaks feel informed, the survey revealed a deep gap between subjective perception and actual competence\u2014for example, the ability to identify AI-generated content is critically low. At the same time, concerns are growing about the dehumanization of relationships and the loss of one\u2019s own creativity. <\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s why Ba\u0165a Management School<\/a> is integrating the topic of artificial intelligence directly into the Ba\u0165a management system this year. This isn\u2019t a short-term trend, but a search for synergy between efficient algorithms and proven management logic.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We spoke about how to succeed in these dynamic times with the academic guarantor from Tomas Bata University in Zl\u00edn (UTB), <\/span>Prof. Dr. Ing. Drahom\u00edra Pavelkov\u00e1<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

AI as a tool to eliminate routine<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In Ba\u0165a Management School\u2019s program, AI is not presented as a threat, but as a tool to unlock human potential. Prof. Pavelkov\u00e1 builds on a key Ba\u0165a thesis: <\/span>\u201cIf we want to build a company, we must first build people.\u201d<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

While the IVO survey shows that 82% of users see time savings as AI\u2019s main benefit, it also revealed that 76% of Slovaks fear the \u201cstunting\u201d of their own creativity. Prof. Pavelkov\u00e1 responds to these concerns clearly: <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cArtificial intelligence, as we see it, is not a replacement for humans. It\u2019s a tool that frees people from routine tasks. Industry experts in the program will show concrete directions in technological development and the application of AI in company processes and team leadership. The Ba\u0165a framework gives these innovations an ethical dimension and a clear strategic direction.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n

A strategic skill: Analysis, responsibility, and action<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The IVO survey identified an alarming trend: as many as 61% of employees use AI in a \u201cgrey zone\u201d without clear employer rules. This confirms the need for systematic leadership education. BM\u0160\u2019s most important goal is to equip participants with the ability to transform their company immediately and safely.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The key methodology remains the Ba\u0165a principle: <\/span>Situation analysis \u2013 taking responsibility \u2013 action.<\/b> Managers learn to identify \u201cbottlenecks\u201d in their business. According to Prof. Pavelkov\u00e1, graduates value most the \u201csimplification of complex things\u201d and a return to clear, understandable logic. <\/span><\/p>\n

The goal is for participants to be able to bring order to their company as soon as Monday after the course and return to the essence\u2014serving the customer and caring for colleagues.<\/p>\n

Connecting global trends with Ba\u0165a stability<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The selection of lecturers is built on a functional contrast. David Pavl\u00edk, a technology leader with global experience, brings a perspective on how technology is changing the global market. Gabriela Kon\u010dit\u00edkov\u00e1, Director of the Tom\u00e1\u0161 Ba\u0165a Foundation<\/a>, anchors these innovations in Ba\u0165a philosophy. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhile technology delivers speed, Ba\u0165a philosophy provides direction and stability. This combination prevents modernization from turning into chaos,\u201d <\/em><\/strong> says Prof. Pavelkov\u00e1. The lectures remind us that Ba\u0165a predicted automation, but warned that technical progress would increase demands on people\u2019s ability to create and take responsibility. <\/p>\n

The practical implementation of these principles in companies\u2019 everyday life is led by lecturers Karin Fuentesov\u00e1, Radka \u0160u\u0161kov\u00e1, and Miroslav Marek.<\/p>\n

BM\u0160 works as an interactive platform. The program creates a safe environment where managers can openly discuss real problems in their companies. It\u2019s not passive listening, but an analysis of their own topics under the guidance of experts. <\/span><\/p>\n

Zl\u00edn is not just a backdrop, but an important part of the whole experience. The city\u2019s architecture and history give participants the necessary perspective and a sense of continuity. This year, the school also takes place during the Zl\u00edn Film Festival<\/strong><\/a>, so participants will experience the city at its most vibrant. <\/p>\n

The vision for the coming years is to strengthen BM\u0160 as an incubator for a modern \u201cBa\u0165a mindset\u201d. \u201cWe want to continue running the school as a platform for sharing the knowledge of top experts. Our goal is managers who won\u2019t just manage spreadsheets, but will build systems that are orderly and resilient to crises,\u201d <\/em> Prof. Pavelkov\u00e1 concludes.<\/span><\/p>\n
